UAVLIFE

The main project objective

The project is focused on research and development in the field of production of other means of transport, including their functional services, quality, testing, metrology and the related processes supporting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Planned outputs

From the point of view of the key project results, in the case of project implementation, the following will be generated:
A full range of prototypes addressing various technical/design aspects of UAVs and designs of models for the optimal means of transport of different types of biological material.

Project uniqueness

The basic project input will be the excellence of the research team of investigators and its combined research know-how in the field of UAV research on the one hand, and in the field of biomedicine/public health on the other.

Research and development into potential application of autonomous aircraft in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic

Research activity under the UAVLIFE project

Among other aspects, the complexity and novelty of the project reflects the broad range of connecting points to several other significant and innovative projects within the European as well as international context.

The intention of the UAVLIFE project

In the case of project implementation the key project outputs will lead to the following:

  • A full range of prototypes addressing various technical/design aspects of drones (UAVs) and model designs for the optimal way of transporting different types of biological specimen,
  • 2 patent applications,
  • 34 publications.
