Basic material – Development of localization, navigation, stabilization, propulsion, energy and communication modules. Collection and evaluation of data from the multi-sensoric system.

Research of UAS kinematic structures

Basic material – flight efficiency, load capacity, optimal structure of the kite – the aircraft’s construction. Selection of a suitable material for UAS kite construction.

UAS modules

Basic material – modules for transportation of the material that are resistant to specific conditions, modules for improving localization and navigation capabilities. Mechanical, communication and control interface between the UAV and modular accessories.

Research activity no. 2: Independent research and development

Basic material – Software platform for control and coordination of a group of autonomous aircraft. Algorithms for controlling a group of autonomous aircraft. Digital twin (virtual representation) of a group of unmanned autonomous aircraft. A mobile laboratory for monitoring, tracking, identifying and enforcing control of a group of UAVs as well as any intruders.

Research into the impact of alternative transport by unmanned aerial vehicles on the monitored markers of biological material

Basic material – the impact of alternative transport by unmanned aerial vehicles on the monitored markers of biological material.

Construction of a research data center for the management and logistics of autonomous transport of biological material

Basic material – data management and management of transportation of biological material. Management of logistics and autonomous transport infrastructure. Evaluation and continuous analysis of parameters influencing the pre-analytical phase during autonomous transportation. Connection of the transportation management and control system to laboratory information systems and archiving of data obtained during the transport together with the results of diagnostic tests, their evaluation within the scope of biostatistic correlations. A suitable model for the involvement of autonomous transportation in the logistics of biological material in Slovakia.

Research activity no. 4: Experimental development

Development of a highly efficient vehicle propulsion system

Base material – highly efficient, robust and safe methods of synchronous engine control. Frequency converter of the propulsion system with the energy recovery option. Predictive drive unit diagnostics. Charging and monitoring of the power supply system.

Design of the automated base

Basic material – automatic charging and monitoring system. Interface for connecting an unmanned aerial vehicle to an automated base station.
